Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by mincing the garlic cloves and measuring each of the sauce ingredients.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin (or rice vinegar), minced garlic, and sesame oil until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken and seal the bag or cover the dish tightly. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  5. During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the reserved marinade over the chicken.
  6. Serve your delicious Teriyaki Chicken with steamed rice or stir-fried veggies.

Notes
