How to Make Teriyaki Chicken Marinade
- Start by mincing the garlic cloves and measuring each of the sauce ingredients.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin (or rice vinegar), minced garlic, and sesame oil.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side.
- During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the reserved marinade over the chicken for an added layer of flavor.
- Serve your delicious Teriyaki Chicken with steamed rice or stir-fried veggies.
