  • 2 medium ripe bananas peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt preferably Greek for added protein
  • 1 cup milk can use almond, soy, or coconut milk for a dairy-free option
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for added flavor
  • ½ cup ice cubes optional, for a chilled smoothie

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water, then hull and slice them. This removes the green tops and makes them easier to blend.
  2. Peel the bananas and slice them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
Blend the Smoothie
  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, plain yogurt, milk, honey, vanilla extract, and ice cubes (if using).
  2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if necessary to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
Serve
  1. Pour the smoothie into serving glasses. You can garnish with a slice of strawberry or banana on the rim for a decorative touch.
  2. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, use less milk or add more yogurt. For a sweeter smoothie, adjust the amount of honey or add a few more strawberries.
