Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Base
- In a blender, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
- Add the lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper to the blender. Blend again until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Add the Heat
- Carefully add the chopped jalapeño to the blender. Blend briefly, about 10 seconds, until the jalapeño is finely chopped but not completely pureed. This will give the dressing a nice texture and heat.
Taste and Adjust
- Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary. If you prefer more heat, add more jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Serve and Store
- Transfer the Jalapeño Ranch to a mixing bowl or an airtight container. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, stir the dressing well. Garnish with chopped chives for added freshness.

Notes
This dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. The flavors will intensify as it sits, so it's best to make it a day ahead if possible.
