How to Make Dirty Rice
  1. Start by gathering and chopping the onion and bell peppers.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until it turns a lovely brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers; sauté until they soften, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic for an additional minute.
  5. Mix in the rinsed rice and Cajun seasoning until everything is well combined.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
