  • 4 pieces Bagels Split in half horizontally
For the Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano For flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil For flavor
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper To taste
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Freshly shredded for best melt
  • 1 cup Pepperoni Slices Or any preferred toppings
  • ½ cup Bell Pepper Sliced thinly
  • ½ cup Olives Sliced, optional
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil Chopped, optional

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that the bagel pizzas cook evenly and the cheese melts perfectly.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
Make the Pizza Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the tomato sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
  2. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.
Assemble the Bagel Pizzas
  1. Place the halved bagels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. This allows for even cooking and crisping.
  2. Spread a generous spoonful of the pizza sauce on each bagel half, covering it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, ensuring it covers the sauce completely.
  4. Add your desired toppings such as pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives on top of the cheese.
Bake the Bagel Pizzas
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  2. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as ovens can vary in temperature.
Serve
  1. Remove the bagel pizzas from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
